Why go to just any aviation school when you can
choose one of the best. Spartan was founded in
1928 by W. G. Skelly. Since that time, Spartan,
an aviation and flight school, has been recognized
among the best aviation flight colleges in America.
Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology is an aviation
flight school as well as a flight college offering certificates,
diplomas, associate of applied science, and bachelor’s
degrees. Spartan, an aviation flight college, offers two
paths for its aviation students: non-degree programs for
those aviation and flight college students wishing to enter
the aviation work force upon graduation, and associate of
applied science degree programs that provide aviation college
students with general education in addition to their specialization
in the aviation and flight industry.
Spartan’s mission as an aviation flight school is
to prepare aviation college students to gain employment
in the specialty field of their choice. To accomplish this
goal our college provides general education training, hands-on-training,
and theory training in all programs. General education training
to complete the student’s knowledge over a broad set
of general job skill competencies, hands-on-training to
provide industry specific job skills in aviation, and theory
training to develop the student's industry specific job
skill knowledge to the highest level. This comprehensive
and demanding flight college program provides the student
with the competency and skills needed to enter the aviation
and/or flight related fields in the job market.
Training at an aviation flight school, like Spartan
College of Aeronautics and Technology, prepares
an aviation student for their future career by
providing focused industry specific training that
goes beyond completion of just the minimum flight
training requirements mandated by the Federal Aviation
Administration (FAA). Spartan’s “ab-initio” flight
training program is designed specifically for the
aviation career-oriented pilot. Our college is
accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career
Schools and Colleges of Technology and approved
by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) as
a flight school authorized to offer approved aviation
training under 14 CFR part 141 (FAR Part 141).
